Question by sooner_born08: 42” lcd tv won’t work after lightning struck near my house?
I have a 42” Insignia LCD TV that stopped working after lightning struck near my house. It was plugged up to a surge protector along with the cable box, dvd player, computer, etc. and it’s the only appliance that won’t work. It normally has a red light that stays on even when it’s turned off but it won’t come on and I have tried moving it to other sockets so if you have any idea of what I need to do to fix it that would be nice, thanks.

i hate to say it, but there could be several things burnt up inside the t.v….the power supply (most likely the issue) and the circuit board, tuner, speakers, and the monitor itself…
call a t.v. repairman…
